 | HELMET: a full-face off-road or on-road helmet is recommended. The off-road helmet allows better cooling in hot weather; the on-road helmet is quieter and offers better protection in the rain. We advise against jet helmets.
|  | NECK BRACE: The aim is to minimize the risk of injuries on the neckspine in case of serious falls. |
 | VISORS or GOGGLES should be clean and not scratched. Tinted lenses/visors are recommended when training on the track in dazzling sunshine. |
 | The best protection in a crash is a snug-fitting, all-in-one, LEATHER COMBINATION SUIT with PROTECTION at the SHOULDERS, ELBOWS, KNEES and HIPS. A BACK PROTECTOR is a must. When using a 2-piece suit, the jacket and trousers should sufficiently overlap or better still be able to be connnected together with a zip. Textile suits are more practical on a daily basis, but don't offer the protection of a leather suit. |
 | The hands are very prone to injury. LEATHER GLOVES with FINGER AND KNUCKLE PROTECTION are an investment that pays off. They must be able to be secured with a zip so that they cannot slip off. |
 | ROBUST (OFFROAD) BOOTS have prevented more than a few foot and ankle injuries. |
 | ALWAYS CARRY WITH YOU: your driving license, vehicle documents, some cash in the local currency and some wet-weather gear. On our asphalt tours and training sessions we strongly recommmend against offroad clothing (cross trousers, cross shirt, enduro jacket, cross gloves), as this gear is not nearly abrasion resistent enough for asphalt. | Your clothing and gear must fit! That's why tour participants must bring their own riding wear. |
